I Don't Bake

I don't bake sweets . . . much. I find that baking sugary snacks leads to . . . eating sugary snacks. However, I have a love affair with cookie cutters that stems from quality time spent with my grandma and mom as a child. I've been collecting cookie cutters for years with the fantasy of baking cookies with my children. While I had no children, I could store them safely away in a closet, knowing my future baking fantasy was safe. Now I have children that are old enough to bake with me and piles of bulky, rarely-used cookie cutters. So, when it is time to fill the kitchen with flour, I have to pull out ALL cookie cutters so we can practice decision making. This is not how I like to spend my fantasy time!!! But, "Hey!" I thought. "I can nail them to the wall!"

Now it's easy to see to make a decision. We spend all year making the decision.

Well now, that certainly is a creative storage solution. LOL. Mine take up an entire drawn in the kitchen. My 2-year-old enjoys playing with them.

That's so fun. I collect old tin-looking cookie cutters. I don't bake that often, either. And rarely cut-out cookies. So they're most likely used on playdoh and peanut butter sandwiches.
